2 months gone, what next?

I don't often write journals, but since I have a few relatives around my house at the moment, I cannot concentrate on cosplay work, so thought I would kill time by writing a journal.

I can't believe we are already 2 months in 2011, time flew past so quick!!!!!! so here is a general update with life and such.....

Anime/Manga/Games
Amine - I recently got into a new magical girl series which recently been aired in Japan called Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. My first impression was it looked as though it would be such a cute show with abit of romance like CardCaptor Sakura, however it is a lot more different from other magical girls shows. The Amine is somewhat dark and scary 0.o Anyways, I adore the artwork & music and the show is really appealing to Lyrical Nanoha fans, so I guess there are no surprises why I really loved this series so much and I want to cosplay as Madoka this year, so anyone up for a group?
Manga - I have not been reading much Mangas recently due to being skint and I can't be bothered staring at the computer screen for ages reading scanlations, however 2 of the latest Mangas I really enjoy are Arisa and Fairy Navigator Runa. If you enjoy the fantasy genre, then I definitely recommend these 2 titles.
Games - I finally got a PS3 for Christmas and currently have 6 games (FFXIII, BlazBlue:CT, BlazBlue:CS, Rachet & Clank, Red Dead Redemption and Atelier Rorona), so now I don't have to go to my friends house in order to play his games. I've been practising with BlazBlue more properly and got a lot better controlling some of the characters, so beware of me next time! And yes! Rachel still remains my favourite to play. I don't have many PS3 games at the moment, so anyone got any game recommendations?

Convenntions/Expos
Midlands Expo - I went with Spirit-of_the_stage and Irhra-Dawning-Dusk" Sadly, most of my friends could not make it to the Midlands, however there were a couple of friends which I saw including firefox23111981, Maj, Rachie, Hiccup, Ghosty-13, kazezakura, Taruto, ManMisa2009, NavigatorxNami, sweet-potato-ocarina, xPoisonedxRosex and probably a few more friends which I missed out.... sorry! I was disapointed I never recongised Trunksgal because it's been a long time since I last saw her, so it would have been nice to say "hi" and catch up with a few things, but oh well... hopefully we shall catch up in May's Expo. I brought 2 Nanoha mini figurines, plus a beautiful Vivio figure from Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphoto… which I had to snipe, mainly because Vivio is one of my favourite characters from the series after Fate and this was the first ever Vivio figure published! Not going to explain any further detail regarding the figure just because it would be a spolier.
On the other note, I entered the masquerade and it was the first time I've won a competition. My Rachel Alucard costume came in 3rd place.

Bunkasai / Blazblue event
I never have any intentions to attend Bunkasai nor the BlazBlue event because I can never be bothered to travel to London for smaller events. Bunkasai is not a small event, however I hardly have any friends interested to go <.<" I think sweet-potato-ocarina, kazezakura and Destiny-spirit will be there, so I won't be alone, plus I'm sure I will be able to talk to some of the BlazBlue cosplayers. Anyways, the reason why I'm going to attend these events is because I have been one of the BlazBlue cosplayers selected in the UK to help out with the BlazBlue event in HMV London and I cannot refuse the opportunity to help out and meet the creators in person. If your going, then look out for me! I doubt there will be any other Rachel cosplays though I maybe wrong, so I will not be hard to miss.

I will also be at MinamiCon, KitaCon, London Expo May, AyaCon, FushiCon and hopefully at London Expo October and the Grand International ball too.

Cosplay
Sadly, cosplay progress is abit slow this year due to being tired and ill during January/begining February and I guess this explains the reason why I have not been online as often as I used to. I am not sure if this was caused by stress at work and changing my diet a little as I wanted to become more healthier, but hopefully I will be back to normal soon as I am slowly begining to get used to my new diet.
